Ear Acupuncture
Chinese Medicine sees the body mapped to multiple parts of the body. For example, the whole body is mapped to the ear. This allows the ear to be used for the diagnosis and treatment of most conditions. It can be used as a complete therapy in itself, and also as an addition to normal acupuncture treatment.

Ear seeds can also be used on the points, which can remain in your ear for longer periods. Ear seeds are small plant seeds, traditionally from the Vaccaria plant, stuck to a tiny plaster or piece of tape, which are placed on acupuncture points in the ear. One of the great properties of the Vaccaria seed in Chinese Medicine is its ability to resolve blood stagnation and promote the free flow of energy (Qi).

Protocols
Many different combinations of points have been found to help a variety of conditions. Ear Acupuncture has also crossed over into the modern world, with protocols such as NADA, National Acupuncture Detoxification Association. This combination of points has been used effectively to help release people from addictions, and also help with anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
